Wining and Dining with the Stars

Looking to bump into a celeb or two, here are the trendy spots in Kloof Street many stars like to hang out at!

It is always a momentous moment when you spot a celebrity dinning out, as one tends to forget they are human too. Kloof Street situated in Cape Town is one place you may be able to catch one of your favourite international or local celebrities dinning out.  This street if full off various world-class restaurants and bars where you could even end up sharing a glass of champagne with Claire Deanne, Jeannie D and a whole lot more!

So where exactly will you be lucky to see a star without having to stare up at the evening sky?

Café Paradiso 

A place with stunning views of the city and waterfront in the distant, this venue is all about family values long held traditions, warm welcoming hospitality and wholesome goodness. Sean Penn was spotted here in 2016 having a relaxing lunch in the beautiful garden whilst enjoying its lovely Cape Town view.  Claire Danes, the Homeland star has also been seen enjoying an evening meal here too!

The Restaurant has also served various other famous a-list stars such as Blake Lively, Chris Pine, Denzel Washington and Hilary Swank.

The locally celebs love it Joanna Strauss has regularly been spotted at Paradiso too!

The Bombay Bicycle club 

This vibey spot has entertained the likes of Ryan Reynolds in the house, the cast of Mad Max (including our home grown lady Charlize Theron) and a few international DJ’s as well!

South African stars have also been seen dinning out here including DJ Fresh, Arno Carstens, Jeannie D and a whole bunch of other local stars.

The Mount Nelson Hotel and Spa

Sean Penn, Oprah, Elton John and Tiger Woods. In the Mount Nelson’s lush garden estate overlooking Table Mountain, you might be lucky enough to enjoy a high tea with an a-lister, or share a Martini with Charlie’s at the bar!

Why are these spots such a celeb magnet? Kloof Street where the two venues are situated seems to be a hot spot for celebs because it is not as buzzing as other parts of Cape Town and has a real local feel! Especially with the fantastic view of Table Mountain!
