Bless the Rains down on Africa

5 Celebrities who love Africa!

Cause I mean who wouldn’t???

A continent unlike any other, with a beautiful climate, amazing views and a variety of things to see and do! The celebrities just cannot get enough of this place!

There are many reasons why celebrities visit Africa, including the beauty of the wild open plans, the profusion of wildlife, the incredible beauty and diversity of cultures and Africa’s fight for freedom. This has brought many celebrities who were moved by our past, not only too see the beauty we have to offer but to help lend a hand.

Here are the 5 celebrities who just adore our stunning continent:

Brad Pitt

He loves the Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and his review in the guestbook demonstrated this. A raving review from the legendary actor: “The people are as fantastic as the animals majestic. Enjoyed the food chain – Many thanks.”

He also regularly visits communities in Africa and has traveled to Africa to raise awareness for the Make Poverty History Campaign.

Jessica Alba

Has been to South Africa helping a few causes she is involved in. In 2010 she was the co-chair of 1 GOAL in Senegal and Ghana, which is a campaign that looks to provide education for all children in Africa.

Oprah Winfrey

Not only does Oprah loves to safari in Tanzania’s Serfengeti at the private Singita Grumeti Game Reserve.  Winfrey opened up the The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. It is a girls-only boarding school that officially opened in January 2007 in Henley on Klip near Meyerton, south of Johannesburg.

Rihanna

RiRi, has also visited the continent, taking a trip on a South African Safari taking photos with the animals at the Longleat Safari Park near Johannesburg One of her captions read, “Rode ATVz through the wild with #TheBigFive animals today in South Africa! #young #wild #free.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton

The now married couple with two children happened to get engaged whilst on safari in Africa. Prince William asked Kate to be his wife in the bush in Kenya at a remote place called Rutundu Log Cabin. The cabin consists of no electricity and you can only get there by air or on a 15km horseback ride!  It is located on the Mount Kenya northern slopes.

It is with great pride and joy to know these celebs just love Africa but also that some are helping building a better education and well being for our beautiful continent. Hopefully this will inspire more celebrities or even citizens to do the same!
